ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
 

This opportunity is with RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company — the second-largest U.S. tobacco company. You will work in our R&D facilities in Winston-Salem, NC.
 

Our researchers and scientists are transforming an industry – by developing breakthroughs that redefine how adult tobacco consumers enjoy tobacco.

 

Currently RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company is offering an internship opportunity to assist the function in developing Next Generation Products consistent with our Growth, Innovation and Harm Reduction Platforms. Summer interns will have Winston-Salem based assignments and conduct research to support established research programs and projects in collaboration with other researcher and scientists.
 

You will be assigned a challenging research project with a focus on electrical engineering, requiring creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork as you interact with other personnel throughout our winning organization.
 

In addition, you will have fun while adding value and encountering outstanding career development support. This role is for a summer internship across the span of 10 weeks, and will conclude by mid-August.
 

TO SUCEED AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERN at RJRT IN 2019 YOU SHOULD BE:
 

  • A student who is working toward a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with at least two years of exposure to engineering courses core to your concentration;

  • Able to work a full-time schedule during our 10-week internship experience starting in June;

  • Someone with laboratory experience utilizing sound scientific principles to provide innovative solutions to complex problems;

  • Experienced in utilizing electronic evaluation equipment;

  • Knowledgeable about modern circuitry;

  • Proficient in MS office software;

  • An innovative leader with strong influencing skills;

    AND SOMEONE WHO:
     

  • Displays excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Has superior verbal and written communication skills;

  • Is willing to relocate to Winston-Salem, NC for the summer.
