We’re looking for a talented, detail-oriented and creative individual to join our Consumer Marketing team as Email and Digital Content Designer in support of our portfolio of iconic brands and next generation nicotine enjoyment products.

In this role, you’ll design, version and HTML code impactful and motivating emails using responsive HTML templates in Adobe Campaign, adhering to brand style guidelines and email marketing best practices.  You’ll also design web landing pages and digital banner advertising to create compelling and engaging messaging for each audience.

The successful candidate will embrace the challenge of working collaboratively with Brand Leads, Campaign Operations and creative agencies to meet marketing objectives and deadlines, while exercising executional excellence across multiple concurrent projects. 



  • Hands-on design and coding of captivating email content using Adobe Campaign HTML templates
  • Create and version digital content including web landing pages and digital banners
  • Collaborate with Brand, Experience Planners and outside agencies on all creative email development, versioning and production
  • Engage regularly with the Consumer Experience Marketing team to optimize content strategy and organize and plan workload and delivery pipeline
  • Review Work Order technical specs and ensure completeness in support of email campaigns
  • Ensure proper HTML presentation for all form factors and the quality of all outbound campaigns
  • Ensure brand standards and a consistent content voice and tone throughout digital properties and messaging.  
  • Proactively share wins and lessons learned to improve departmental and marketing competency
  • Keep current with emerging digital technologies and use cases
  • Ensure compliance with RJRT Legal and Regulatory guidelines





Bachelors degree in a digital design related field


Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2+ years experience in a digital environment with at least 1 year experience in email and/or front-end web design
  • Proficiency in core design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience with UX design best practices
  • Working knowledge of well-crafted HTML/CSS and HTML5 (Templates are used, but you should know how to read code for testing and QA)
  • Thorough understanding of responsive design principles and comfort working with responsive layouts and designs
  • Functional understanding of basic digital and web analytics
  • Ability to create web layouts and wireframes and to work in existing templates
  • Ability to balance projects and manage time efficiently while maintaining acute attention to detail
  • Able to work enthusiastically both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Animation skills (gif and video) a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Campaign workflows and email deployment
  • Familiarity with CMS and Marketing Automation systems
