The Director, Vapor Product Development is a member of the Next Generation Product (NGP) team and is responsible for Vapor Products.  They will lead a dynamic team to develop and maintain products for our customers.  The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning and execution, gathering and defining product requirements, and maintaining products that are in-market.

The accountabilities and principal duties of the Director, Vapor Product are:


  • Lead and develop a team of product developers. 
  • Support product strategies and roadmaps, drive priorities based on business and customer needs, optimize resource allocation and project prioritization
  • Partner with Rapid Innovations in defining  products that disrupt our category
  • Drive development of product specifications and acceptance criteria, work cross functionally and assist project teams to execute new product and packaging solutions
  • Actively communicate status of projects to stakeholders and leadership team
  • Support product development activities including concept development, feasibility analysis, scope definition, cost estimating, specification and drawing development, prototype evaluation, product risk/hazard review, vendor evaluation and transition to commercialization.  Work with Scientific and Regulatory affairs to develop documentation needed for FDA approval of products
  • Work cross functionally to determine how to implement product changes, develop processes between other departments, and influencing Scientific and Regulatory Affairs (SRA).
  • Provide technical guidance to team while developing teams technical capabilities
  • Own and drive competitive landscaping and product analysis
  • Drive continuous process improvement through identification of unnecessary complexities and process gaps, and proactively drive implementation of strategies to execute effective solutions.




  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) school in a relevant discipline (Electrical or Mechanical). Other disciplines may be accepted based on experience.  Advanced degree is not required but would be an added plus.



  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience leading technical teams in product development
  • 5-8 years of experience in product design, development, and testing from concept to launch, preferably in consumer product goods
  • Proficient managing projects, budgets, and schedules
  • Experience in developing and launching regulated products (FDA)
