ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
 

As a Leaf Operations intern, you will work with  our Leaf Operations, Agronomy, and Research and Development teams. You will be assigned a challenging ongoing research project requiring creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork as you interact with other personnel throughout our winning organization. In addition, you will have fun while adding value and encountering outstanding career development support. The role combines basic research, field knowledge, and cost analysis within the broad discipline of agriculture.

TO SUCEED A LEAF MANAGEMENT INTERN IN 2019 YOU SHOULD BE:
 

  • A student who is working toward a degree in Ag Science, Soil Science or Agricultural Business Management with at least two years of coursework in classes core to your major;
  • Proficient with MS Office desktop;
  • Capable of analyzing multi-dimensional problems;
  • A creative and innovative leader;
  • Honest, trustworthy and dependable;
     

    AND SOMEONE WHO:
     

  • Is flexible and embraces change;
  • Has a passion for winning;
  • Is highly self-motivated and oriented toward action;
  • Has strong technical and organizational ability;
  • Displays broad, cross-functional business knowledge;
  • Is willing to relocate to Winston-Salem, NC for the summer.

 

BY THE END OF THE INTERNSHIP YOU WILL HAVE:
 

  • Spent time with c-suite leadership during a series of leadership roundtable events;
  • Gained insight into what it’s like to work here, global development opportunities and career pathways;
  • Worked directly with experienced Leaf Management and Operations professionals.
