We’re seeking an experienced Magento Business Lead with proficiency in the Magento eCommerce platform and in eCommerce business best practices. As part of the Consumer Experience Digital Technology Team, the Magento Business Lead will play an integral role in ensuring that new and existing eCommerce experiences meet the needs of today’s Adult Nicotine Consumer.

Candidates should have significant business expertise in documentation of integrations, business requirements, and workflows. In this capacity you will work with brand teams to understand business requirements and make recommendations for eCommerce strategy planning and development. Building and fostering relationships with many stakeholders (Brands, IT, Operations, Finance, and external agencies) is critical to success in this position.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business lead with strong understanding of Magento
  • Help project plan for new and existing Magento site initiatives
  • Assess operation and execution impacts, work performed, methods, and systems
  • Confer with brands, Business QA and IT to ensure successful function of newly implemented systems or features
  • Play a significant role in requirements gathering, working with Business and Enterprise Solution Architects by providing suggestions and aiding in the creation of functional specification that meet the needs of the business and brand teams
  • Help research integration and module capabilities
  • Sit in on Scrum and Sprint calls to ensure alignment (approach, estimates)
  • Assist with problem solving for technical, eCommerce related business issues
  • Maintain robust documentation regarding Magento business governance
  • Ensure that project goals are met and adhere to approved timelines and budgets.
  • Proactively share wins and lessons learned to improve departmental and marketing competency
  • Ensure compliance with RJRT Legal and Regulatory guidelines. 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

Minimum BS in business related field, or relevant experience

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience with eCommerce
  • 2+ years experience with Magento
  • Excellent understanding of eCommerce site building best practices, including workflows and planning
  • Outstanding project management skills with proven experience managing end-to-end projects including managing budget, timelines/milestones, multiple partners and deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Estimation abilities in scoping work in a highly complex environment
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively (team oriented) with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Fundamental understanding of IT and Marketing principles
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and a functional level

 

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient in other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions
  • Experience with on-demand reporting/Analysis/business intelligence tools, including Tableau, etc…
  • Experience with Agile development philosophy, practices, and tools
  • The right mix of experience in Marketing and Technology is highly desirable
